Becoming parents is a monumental shift in so many ways, but for us at Doves & Tails, it was also the moment our commitment to a non-toxic, sustainable lifestyle truly took flight. Like any new parents, we wanted to create the safest, most nurturing environment for our newborn. Our quest began innocently enough, with searches for organic baby clothing and natural cleaning products. But as we delved deeper, we discovered the pervasive presence of VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) in so many everyday items — from the paint on our walls to the very furniture we hoped would fill our baby's nursery with love and warmth. The more we learned, the more daunting it became to find products that lived up to our newfound standards.
This realization hit us hard. We found ourselves asking, "If it's this hard for us, what about other families out there?" It was a question that we couldn't shake off, and it ultimately propelled us to take action.
